California Antelope Creek Lodge, May 6-8th 2016, Trip Summary: Our 2016 trip began like our 2015 trip, with lollipop size rain drops falling from the sky and brilliant thunderstorms flashing all around us. To avoid becoming human lightning rods, we opted to head straight to the lodge to wait out the imposing thunderstorm. That evening the sky burned brilliant with hues of red, orange and pink as the sun extinguished itself behind the cold shoulder of Mount Shasta.
